Misfits. What at first seemed like a banal story about teenagers who gain supernatural powers, was very well received both by critics and viewers.
With a clear conscience, I can say that Hawkeye it is the best installment of the MCU on the small screen. A simple, energetic holiday production...
Megamind is not the best superhero film. It does, however, feel like one of the most original:
The creators of Zero made young people the main characters, blending superhero cinema elements with socially engaged storytelling.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier left me with nothing. It is an unengaging, calculated series, without a gram of an interesting idea, completely irrelevant.
WandaVision is both - another successful chapter of the series that began in 2008 with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man, and simply an original and interesting series.
Watchmen series is extraordinarily intelligent, exquisitely executed entertainment that creatively develops its comic-book source to tell its own story.
Brightburn – a film that shied away from the hope-glowing world of Marvel-esque heroism to deliver a twisted take on Superman’s origin story.
Series that mainly come from pre-Marvel times, although Marvel already existed back then.
Successful stories could be crafted around these characters, placing them in the spotlight, and the MCU wouldn't just lose anything from it but might even gain.
